Making an Impact! Maggi Cary Mentoring SHE-CAN Scholar
June 2023IWF-DC member Margaret (Maggi) Cary, a physician and executive coach for healthcare professionals, is a mentor for a young, indigenous woman from Guatemala attending a U.S. college with a full scholarship as a SHE-CAN Scholar.
SHE-CAN builds global female leadership by equipping talented low-opportunity young women from post-conflict & climate-challenged countries with the skills needed to change their nations and the world. Specifically, SHE-CAN helps young women from Rwanda, Cambodia, Liberia, and Guatemala win full-ride scholarships to top U.S. colleges, pairs them with a team of 4-6 loving mentors, and provides them with additional leadership training, exclusive internships, and more.
